Fairport Convention - Liege & Lief (1969)
The graph shows specific prices (shown on the vertical axis) fetched by a particular album - first edition, in excellent condition, unless otherwise stated - as monitored by our team of vinyl watchers on eBay, over a specific period of time (shown on the horizontal axis). In this way, Dyverse Values gives some idea of fluctuations in price, and a mean average of the value of a particular item can be gauged.
Interestingly, the value of the Fairport classic peaked at £102 in 2007, shortly after the classic 1969 line-up (minus Sandy Denny, of course) reconvened to play Liege and Lief in its entirety - to celebrate (prematurely) the fortieth anniversary of the definitive folk-rock album. On it's actual fortieth anniversary (December, 1969), Liege & Lief had slumped back down to £22.80 or thereabouts.
